Manage packaging materials

In Stockpilot, managing your packing materials is easy and efficient. With the ability to convert inventory into packaging materials, you can easily track usage by scanning barcodes at the time of packing each order. This article will guide you through the process of managing your packing materials, including creating new materials, editing existing ones, and keeping track of usage and inventory levels.

Convert the product

You can convert any product in your inventory as packaging material. You can do this when you go to the product page and click the Is package material dropdown button.

Once you converted the item to package material, you can convert it back again by clicking the same button that is now named No package material.

Next let's navigate to your default warehouse by clicking Account info > Warehouse > Your default warehouse.

Here you see a list of all your packaging material, with purchase price, quantity and total value.

Keep track by scanning

Once you added your packaging material, you can scan them in the packing process. This way you keep track of packaging used per order.
